About
Taya Frank is a lifestyle, documentary, and portrait photographer based in Los Angeles, whose career reflects a brave transition from a monotonous corporate environment to visual art. Born and raised in Moldova, Taya discovered her passion for photography in childhood, inspired by her grandmother, who worked with film cameras. Although she initially pursued a career in accounting, the desire to create was reignited in 2017 when she received her first semi-professional camera, gradually transforming a hobby into a dedicated profession of capturing human authenticity. After moving to Los Angeles in 2019, following her Green Card lottery win, Taya had to build her reputation from scratch. Through perseverance and hard work, she managed to make a name for herself in the American photography industry, with her works subsequently being published in numerous prestigious international magazines, such as MARIKA, Artells, GMARO, Photohouse, and VIGOUR. Her style focuses on naturalness and raw emotion. Taya prefers subjects to "live" in front of the camera, avoiding stiff posing in favor of moments captured through movement and sincere interactions. Her fascination with human connection and each person's unique stories underpins her approach, with the goal of "stopping time" to provide clients with vivid memories. Her success is defined by rigorous discipline, responsibility, punctuality, and a continuous desire to learn, elements that help her constantly evolve and avoid creative stagnation. For Taya, photography is not just a succession of shots, but the very essence of the life she documents with devotion.
