Reghina Esina was born on June 17, 1921, in Chișinău and became one of the remarkable opera soloists of the Republic of Moldova. After studying music at the Omsk School (1942-1945) and graduating from the "Gavriil Musicescu" Conservatory in Chișinău (1945-1950) under the guidance of Professor Lidia Babici, she began her stage career in 1946 on the stage of the Chișinău Opera Theater. Throughout her career, she performed at prestigious cultural institutions in the capital: the Chișinău Philharmonic (1948-1950), the "A. Pushkin" Musical-Dramatic Theater (1950-1956), and again at the Opera Theater from 1956, interpreting leading roles in classical operas such as "Eugene Onegin," "The Tsar's Bride," "May Night," and many others, contributing significantly to the development of Moldovan lyrical art. Reghina Esina's artistic achievements were recognized with important distinctions: she received the honorary title of "Eminent Worker of Culture of the Moldavian SSR" and was awarded the Order of the "Badge of Honor" in 1960, testaments to her substantial contribution to national culture. Beyond her stage activities, Reghina Esina was actively involved in the life of Moldovan cultural institutions, holding a leadership position in the local theater community and preserving the memory of generations of artists. In the final years of her career, Reghina Esina served as the president of the Veterans Club of the Moldovan Theatre Society from 1972 to 1990. During this period, she passed on her experience and knowledge to young artists and contributed to the preservation of Moldovan theatrical traditions. She passed away in 2002, leaving behind an important legacy in the history of opera in the Republic of Moldova and the memory of an artist devoted to art and culture.
