Olga Eser, originally from the Republic of Moldova, moved to Turkey in 2004 after marrying her husband, Ahmet, with whom she runs two businesses. A law graduate, she decided to actively get involved in her husband's businesses, initially in the rental sector, despite not knowing the Turkish language. In 2006, they founded the company EFFECT, specializing in laser projections, where Olga quickly developed international contacts by participating in relevant trade fairs, securing her first major contract thanks to a network formed in this way. In the male-dominated laser industry, Olga Eser faced challenges such as clients' reluctance to discuss technical details with a woman or confusion regarding the types of lasers used, but she persevered through passion and tireless work. She transformed an emerging sector in Turkey – where lasers were sporadically used at events – into a professional niche, joining the international association ILDA, which propelled the business to a higher level. As a member of the ILDA board, she annually attends conferences in countries such as the USA, Germany, or the United Arab Emirates, exchanging experiences and discovering new technologies. Her success secrets include pursuing passion and overcoming initial obstacles, advising women to take the decisive first step into technical industries. By getting involved with ILDA, Olga has traveled to places like Las Vegas or Dubai, solidifying her position as a leader in laser shows. Her personal life, linked to her partnership with her husband, has provided her with the foundation to demonstrate that women can excel simultaneously in multiple roles, contributing to gender equality in Turkish business.
