Zina Esepciuc was born in 1989 in Bălți, Republic of Moldova, where she graduated from the "Mihai Eminescu" Theoretical High School in a Romanian-French bilingual class. She studied journalism and communication, as well as choir conducting at the Moldova State University, while simultaneously developing passions for photography, music, and audiovisuals. She later moved to Paris, where she took courses at the École Supérieure d’Études Cinématographiques (ESEC) and the Giles Foreman Centre for Acting in London, initially working as a journalist, a photographer at Paris Fashion Weeks, and a camera operator and assistant director for TV channels such as TRT Turk and Jurnal TV. Her film career began with supporting roles in French and European productions, quickly progressing to notable appearances. She made her big-screen debut in films like "Raid dingue" (2016), "Dalida" (2016), and especially "Rodin" (2017) by Jacques Doillon, where she played a leading role in a film nominated for Cannes. She has participated in series such as "Family Business" (2019), "La Garçonne" (2020), "Dérapages" (2020), and international productions like "Napoléon" (2023) by Ridley Scott or "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan" (2024), alongside short films in which she played leading roles, such as "Powerless" (2017) and "Katarina" (2022). A polyglot, she is fluent in Romanian, French, English, and Russian, which has facilitated diverse roles. Based between Paris and London, Zina Esepciuc is also involved in scriptwriting and audiovisual project development, continuing to collaborate with the French and European film industry. She walked the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival, posing alongside international stars, and was highlighted in the Moldovan press as an example of success for Bessarabians in cinema. Although information about her personal life remains limited in public sources, her career demonstrates an inspiring transition from journalism to acting, contributing to the international visibility of Moldovan talent.
