Gabriela Danilov is a weightlifter from the Republic of Moldova, originally from Nisporeni, who has established herself as one of the most promising talents in the sport of weightlifting at the European level. She is a student at the Municipal Sports Lyceum and has represented her country with distinction at several prestigious international competitions. Gabriela's sports career has been marked by remarkable performances and medals in continental competitions for the under-15 and under-17 age categories. In 2024, at the European Junior Weightlifting Championships held in Thessaloniki, Greece, Gabriela Danilov became the European champion in the up to 45-kilogram weight category, winning the gold medal in the total with 131 kg. At this competition, she won silver medals in both the snatch (60 kg) and the clean and jerk (71 kg) events. Her performances continued in subsequent competitions, and at the 2025 European Championships in Chisinau, she set a new European record in the snatch event in her weight category, lifting 69 kilograms. Additionally, at the European Championships for the under-17 category, Gabriela Danilov won a bronze medal in the snatch event, solidifying her reputation as an elite athlete.
