About

Oxana Cruc is an international football referee from the Republic of Moldova, recognized on the FIFA list since 2020 and active within the Moldovan Football Federation (FMF). Her career began in 2016, after she chose refereeing over playing in her hometown of Rîbnița, where women's football was rare, inspired by her father and brother who were passionate about sports. She made her international debut in 2022, refereeing the Women's Champions League match Minsk (Belarus) - RFS (Latvia), alongside compatriots Natalia Ceban and Natalia Clipca, an experience she describes as a life school that developed her balance, stress resistance, and maturity. She constantly collaborates with UEFA and FMF, being assigned to major European competitions, such as the qualifiers for the 2027 Women's World Cup (Kosovo - Gibraltar, Finland - Latvia), the 2025 Women's European Championship (Georgia - Belarus), the 2025/2026 Women's Champions League, and the Women's U17 EURO in Slovenia. She is part of an elite Moldovan women's refereeing team, with colleagues such as Natalia Ceban, Ana Iepure, or Ana Ciobotaru, and has participated in training camps in Turkey for improvement. Her performances have contributed to the increase in the number of Moldovan referees accredited by UEFA, promoting women's football in the country. Passionate about football from a young age, she urged young referees to work hard to reach a high level, emphasizing that every match, regardless of stakes, requires total responsibility. Officiating has offered her not only challenges but also personal development, transforming obstacles into opportunities for growth.
