Adriana Babin, a pan flutist from the Republic of Moldova, has gained international recognition for her virtuosity and emotional interpretations on the nai, an iconic instrument that she passionately promotes on the world stage. Winner of numerous awards, including the Grand Prix at the 'Orpheus' competition in Romania and top places in competitions in Russia, Ukraine, Serbia, Moldova, and Bulgaria, she graduated from the 'Ciprian Porumbescu' Music Lyceum in Chișinău, the 'George Enescu' National University of Arts in Iași, and the Conservatory of Amsterdam. Although her main place of activity is associated with Romania, through her studies and recitals at the Romanian Athenaeum in Bucharest, her career includes collaborations with prestigious orchestras such as the Orchestre National de France, Junge Sinfonie Berlin, and the Chamber Orchestra of the Organ Hall in Chișinău, alongside artists like Rolando Villazón and Martha Argerich. Among her peak achievements are appearances at renowned festivals such as the Aldeburgh Festival in the UK, Les Étoiles du Classique in France, or Un Violon sur le Sable, where she performed for 50,000 spectators with the Paris Symphony Orchestra. She has performed in diverse contexts, from classical music with symphony orchestras to folk pieces inspired by Béla Bartók or Ennio Morricone, promoting the nai as an instrument capable of rivaling the violin. In addition, Adriana collaborates with charitable foundations such as the Vladimir Spivakov International Charity Foundation and ArtaVie, founded by Alexandra Conunova, bringing classical music to underprivileged communities through concerts and festivals like 'Moscow Meets Friends'. Born into a loving family, Adriana discovered her musical talent at the age of four, singing improvised children's songs in kindergarten, and at eight, she debuted as a soloist with a national folklore ensemble. Her childhood spent in Orhei and villages like Scumpia or Ochiul Alb marked her love for traditions, cooking, and play, alongside classical dance and passions such as international music. Recognized with scholarships from the President of the Parliament of Moldova and awards from the Ministry of Culture for promoting the country's cultural image, she continues to inspire younger generations through social media and calls to study a musical instrument, dreaming of even larger stages in the future.
