Alla Crinițîna was born on April 23, 1956, in Chisinau, Republic of Moldova, into a family of remarkable filmmakers: her mother, Margarita Crinițîna, was a popular actress, known for her role in the comedy "After Two Hares," and her father, Evgheni Onoprienko, was a famous screenwriter for the film "Only Old Men Go to Battle." She graduated in 1981 from the Kiev Institute of Theater, specializing in film criticism and history, and debuted as a screenwriter in the 1980s. Her career developed mainly in the Russian Federation, where she became a prolific screenwriter with over 25 credits, including films such as "Spartak and Kalashnikov" (2002), "Four Taxi Drivers and a Dog" (2004), "Katya Ismailova" (1994), and series like "The Diplomat" (2019) and "Operation Satan" (2018). She directed the film "Homeland or Death" (2007) and was nominated for the "Golden Eagle" award for best screenplay. Her achievements include numerous awards: the first prize from Goskino and the Producers Guild for "Best Family Film" with "Spartak and Kalashnikov," which received full funding; second place in the Goskino competition for "Four Taxi Drivers and a Dog"; the FSB of Russia award for "Homeland or Death"; as well as participation in the first festival of Russian screenwriters in the USA with "Pyrotechnicians." A member of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia, the Guild of Screenwriters and Directors, Alla Krinitsyna has collaborated with directors such as Yuri Raizman, Vadim Abdrashitov, and Sergei Solovyov, contributing to various genres from comedies and dramas to thrillers and war films. She also teaches masterclasses at VGIK and evaluates projects at festivals, promoting young filmmakers. Alla Krinitîna's personal life is linked to cinema through her marriage to director Alexandru Surin, whom she met on the set of the film "Return from Orbit"; they collaborated creatively for 35 years, until his death, and he declared her the love of his life. She maintained warm relations with Surin's children from previous marriages. A friend of personalities such as Eldar Ryazanov and Liudmila Gurchenko, with whom she shared creative discussions in Peredelkino, Alla emphasizes in interviews that the essence of her work is the creation of stories that influence reality, displaying an optimism inherited from her parents.
