Irina Costina, a remarkable soprano from Bălți, Republic of Moldova, began her artistic career as a soloist at the Minstrels Variety Theater of the Municipal Cultural Center in Bălți, where she won numerous awards at national and international folk music competitions. A graduate of the Bălți College of Teacher Training in Music, she continued her studies at the prestigious Russian Academy of Theatre Arts (GITIS) in Moscow, in the class of Professor Natalia Pustova, under the guidance of masters Alexandr Titov and Igor Yasulovici. Since her international debut with awards such as the Grand Prix at the "Little Prince" competition in Chișinău (2002) and first prize at "Two Hearts-Twins" (2006), she has accumulated an impressive record, including second place at the Glinka International Voice Competition (2011) and first prize at the Bibigul Tulegenova competition (2016). Since 2011, Irina Costina has been an active soloist at the "New Opera" Theatre in Moscow, where she performs a rich repertoire, including roles such as Susanna in Mozart's "The Marriage of Figaro," Adina in Donizetti's "The Elixir of Love," Ludmila in Glinka's "Ruslan and Ludmila," Snegurochka in the opera of the same name by Rimsky-Korsakov, and Musetta in Puccini's "La Bohème." She has collaborated with renowned institutions such as the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia (debut in 2015 with the role of Gerda), the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre, the Russian State Academic Capella "Yurlov," and symphony orchestras from Ryazan, Tambov, and Moscow. Her participation in international festivals, such as the Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago (Italy, 2017, as Violetta), the "Parade of Opera Stars" (Krasnoyarsk, 2018), or Montecatini Terme (2015 and 2019), has solidified her as a versatile artist, also active on stages in Japan, Bulgaria, and Ukraine.
