Rusanda Cojocaru, originally from the Republic of Moldova, was born on August 3, 1987, in Chișinău and studied at the Prometeu Experimental High School of Creativity and Invention. At 18, she won a manuscript competition, publishing her first poetry book "My Colors," which received the "Debut of the Year" award in the poetry category from the Writers' Union of the Republic of Moldova. At 19, she moved to Bucharest to attend the Faculty of Journalism and Communication Sciences at the University of Bucharest, later completing a master's degree in Innovation Promotion Techniques at SNSPA. Her career in fashion began after six years of experience in PR and advertising, launching the brand Bookletta in 2012 – the innovative bag with a transparent window for books, dedicated to active women who love reading, with prices ranging from 390 to 550 lei. Through Bookletta, Rusanda has revolutionized the intersection of fashion and culture, dismantling the stereotype of the "nerdy" reader and promoting a modern image of the cultured and stylish woman. Previously, in 2010, together with Ionela Costachi, she initiated the socio-cultural campaign "I Read, Therefore I Am Sexy!", one of the largest reading promotions in Romania and the Republic of Moldova, which attracted thousands of participants and changed the perception of reading as a trendy activity. She collaborates with Romanian leather goods workshops for production, sells through a showroom, physical stores, and custom orders, aiming for international expansion, including the American market, and maintaining 100% made-in-Romania production. Passionate about travel, books, and writing – activities she describes as emotional release through her personal blog – Rusanda sees entrepreneurship as an intuitive journey, marked by challenges such as the lack of support for SMEs. Raised in a family of intellectuals – her father a doctor in history and political science, her mother a journalist for Unicef – she envisions the future with innovative fashion projects, a balanced family, and the continuation of her mission to inspire through beauty and culture, including a line of children's bags. Her personal style, playful and eclectic, combines vintage with current trends, reflecting a love for exoticism inspired by her travels in Africa and Asia.
