Adriana Botezatu is an associate professor at the "Nicolae Testemițeanu" State University of Medicine and Pharmacy of the Republic of Moldova, where she teaches geriatrics and occupational medicine. As an internist with a PhD in medical sciences, she has distinguished herself through major contributions to the field of gastroenterology, with a focus on precancerous gastric lesions such as atrophic gastritis, intestinal metaplasia, and dysplasia, frequently associated with Helicobacter pylori infection. Her scientific activity includes research on OLGA/OLGIM classifications for chronic atrophic gastritis, the role of advanced endoscopy in detecting Barrett's esophagus, and the applications of ozone therapy in rehabilitation. As a physician at the Clinical Hospital of the Ministry of Health, she promotes non-invasive diagnosis to reduce the incidence of gastric cancer, highlighting the importance of early intervention in populations with high occupational risk, thus contributing to the public health in the Republic of Moldova.
