Elisaveta Ungur is a remarkable researcher from the Republic of Moldova, specializing in the characterization of thin films and semiconductor devices, with over 10 years of research and development experience in the photovoltaic and solar energy fields. Holding a Master's degree from KU Leuven, she began her career with research internships at IMEC in Belgium, where she contributed to innovative projects such as atomic layer deposition of tantalum oxide and tantalum silicate, resulting in a publication in the Journal of Materials Chemistry in 2013. Her experience includes working in cleanrooms at Terumo Europe and nanofabrication projects at the National University of Singapore. Currently, Elisaveta works as a researcher in the Photovoltaic Device Characterization Group at the Solar Energy Research Institute of Singapore (SERIS), where she manages the characterization laboratory, optimizes silicon solar cell manufacturing processes, and applies advanced techniques such as PL imaging, UV-VIS, Raman, FTIR spectroscopy, EQE, and TRPL measurements.
