Vlada Teper, a writer and educator originally from the Republic of Moldova, has distinguished herself through valuable contributions in literature and education, with a focus on exploring identity, human relationships, and paths to self-discovery. A graduate of Stanford University with a Master's in English and Education, plus a specialization in creative writing poetry, she has published essays in prestigious publications such as Newsweek and NPR, and is currently working on a memoir. As a polyglot poet, fluent in Spanish, Russian, and English, Vlada weaves cultural nuances and the wisdom of each language into her writings, promoting the complexity of human existence. As a dedicated educator, Vlada taught at San Francisco International High School, where she was named Teacher of the Month by 826 Valencia in January 2020, recognized for creating a safe space for immigrant students. A former Fulbright scholar in Russia, she founded and leads the Inspiring Multicultural Understanding (IMU) Peace Club, a multicultural leadership program for young immigrants, where she fosters intercultural empathy, nonviolent communication, and the celebration of diversity.
