Svetlana Strezeva was born on November 23, 1951. In 1978, she graduated from the Chisinau Institute of Arts (class of Polina Botezatu). In 1983-84, she completed internships at La Scala Opera. Since 1978, she has been a soloist at the Moldova National Opera and Ballet Theatre. She won first prize at the Glinka All-Union Vocalists Competition in 1981, fifth prize at the Tchaikovsky International Competition in 1982, and a diploma from the Sofia International Competition for Young Opera Singers in 1984. From 1984 to 1994, Svetlana Strezeva taught at the Chisinau Institute of Arts (Associate Professor). International Collaborations: 1988 - Premiere of the opera "The Golden Cockerel" in the role of the Queen of Shemakha, Bolshoi Theatre, Moscow - conductor Evgeny Svetlanov. 1989-1994 Actively tours opera houses and concert halls in Romania, Bulgaria, Italy, and cities in the USSR (Perm, Omsk, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Kyiv, Donetsk, Minsk, Gomel, etc.). 1994-2016 Actively performs concerts in America, Germany, Denmark, Jordan. 2016 - present lives and teaches vocal performance at Xiamen University, TKK, China (Doctor of Musical Arts).
