Cătălina Spatarel, a young woman from Moldova, was named the best international student at Ca’ Foscari University in Venice. Alongside a colleague, Anna Guin, who holds the title of best Italian student, Cătălina delivered a graduation speech on the most important day of her student life. The grand graduation event took place on Friday, November 16, 2018. 1148 students from Ca’ Foscari celebrated their graduation in St. Mark's Square. The special guest of the ceremony was journalist Enrico Mentana. At 2:30 PM, Rector Michele Bugliesi inaugurated the ceremony, which was followed by addresses from city authorities and Enrico Mentana's speech. Anna Guin and Cătălina Spatarel, the best Italian student and the best international student, delivered speeches before the diplomas were awarded. Cătălina studied at the Faculty of Economics, majoring in "Business Economics." She has been in Italy since she was 9 years old, and her success was achieved through hard work and an effort that was practically double that of her peers. "It was very difficult because I was also working during my studies. The professors also helped me a lot; they always come and support you as best they can." She is employed at CWS Digital Solution.
