Elena Scovitina (née Miškova, August 19, 1986, Tighina) is a remarkable draughts player from the Republic of Moldova, specializing in Russian and Brazilian draughts. With the status of a top-class international master obtained in 2005, she has established herself on the world stage through exceptional performances, becoming world champion three times (2005, 2006, and 2015) and European champion twice (2004 and 2008). Her international record also includes world titles in blitz and rapid, as well as numerous medals won at prestigious international competitions, including a silver medal at the World Mind Games in 2008. Throughout her career, Elena Scovitina has proudly represented the Republic of Moldova at high-level sports competitions in Europe and around the world. As a dedicated and disciplined athlete, she has demonstrated remarkable consistency over the decades, returning to international competitions after breaks and maintaining a high competitive level. Her performances have also been recognized by local sports authorities, as she has been included among the best athletes of the Republic of Moldova in non-Olympic competitions.
