Alla Rusu, a remarkable painter born in December 1965 in the Republic of Moldova, received her artistic training in prestigious schools in the region, graduating from the "A. Șciusev" School of Fine Arts and the "I. E. Repin" Republican College of Fine Arts in Chișinău, followed by the Tallinn Institute of Fine Arts in Estonia in 1991, and the "Nicolae Grigorescu" Academy of Fine Arts in Bucharest, Romania, in 1993. She attended iconography courses in Paris between 2006-2008, developing a unique style that combines precise drawing with encaustic ink washes, vibrant watercolors, and oils, capturing intense emotions inspired by urban landscapes. Her achievements include 29 solo exhibitions and participation in group events in countries such as the Republic of Moldova, Estonia, France, Germany, Romania, and Russia, highlighting a career marked by a passion for cities like Saint Petersburg, Paris, and Venice. She works simultaneously in Paris, Bucharest, Chișinău, and Saint Petersburg, collaborating with renowned cultural institutions such as the State Museum of the History of Saint Petersburg, where in 2011 she exhibited the cycle "My St. Petersburg" with over 60 urban landscapes in watercolor and oil, including interpretations of the Kunstkamera and the Hermitage reflected in the Neva. In the Republic of Moldova, she has inaugurated exhibitions at the "Constantin Brâncuși" Exhibition Center in Chișinău, presenting 64 works from 1998 to the present, appreciated for their sincerity and originality by personalities such as Tudor Zbârnea and Florina Breazu; she also exhibited in Paris in galleries like Europia and was a member of the Union of Plastic Artists of Romania (since 1993) and Moldova (since 2004). Her works, influenced by masters like Monet or Canaletto, explore the dialogue between reality and the inner world, with an emphasis on urban water and European architecture, reflecting a refined feminine spiritual journey. Trained in the studio of Galina Visotskaya and Igor Necitailo in Chișinău, Alla Rusu continues the tradition of Bessarabian artists established in the West, immortalizing ephemeral emotions in landscapes from Saint Petersburg, Venice, or Notre-Dame, in a style that combines the rigor of the black line with the fluidity of watery colors, evoking divine presence in everyday beauty.
