Daniela Duca is a remarkable visual artist, originally from the Republic of Moldova, based in the United Kingdom, where she has developed an impressive career in contemporary painting. Her passion for art was born in childhood, inspired by the chromatic and stylistic transformations that occurred with the collapse of the Soviet Union, and since 2005, after moving to the USA for studies, she began to paint intensely. Her works, created in acrylic, paste, and charcoal, explore themes such as the perception of the human body, nature, geometric abstraction, and love through vibrant colors, especially yellow, reflecting an experimental approach that also includes recycled materials. She graduated from United World College of the Adriatic (IB, 2003-2005), Lafayette College with degrees in biochemistry and economics (BSc & AB, 2005-2009), London School of Economics (MSc, 2009-2011), and obtained a PhD from INCE in innovation management (PhD, 2011-2014). Although she also works in the fields of investment and technological innovation, collaborating with organizations such as SAGE Publishing, Jisc, Bloomberg, and Samos Investments, art remains a passionate calling; she exhibited solo with the series "A Crazy Yellow Theory" at Lacey Contemporary Gallery (2016) and in group exhibitions at Walton Fine Arts Gallery, and her works are available on platforms like Saatchi Art, with sales in the UK and USA. Daniela Duca's personal life is marked by a continuous search for balance between artistic creation and professional challenges, rediscovering painting as a source of relaxation after leaving a corporate job in London. A fan of sunny weather, she uses bright colors to transform everyday experiences into electrifying abstractions, promoting art accessibility through modest prices. Her contributions to the artistic community, along with her online presence on GitHub and blogs where she blends art with technology, position her as an inspiring figure for creative women in the Moldovan diaspora.
