Corina Oprea is an international lawyer, holding a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Economic Law from the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova, and subsequently a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Economic Law from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. She is admitted to practice law in the State of New York and the Republic of Moldova, accumulating diverse experience in both private practice and in-house roles within global corporations. Professionally, Corina was an associate at the law firm EFRIM ROȘCA ASOCIAȚII in Chisinau, where she represented clients in a number of civil and criminal cases, participated in numerous court hearings, and provided consultancy on international investment and business processes, including supporting high-level election campaigns. Currently, her main professional activity takes place in the United States of America, where she works in the global legal team of Mondelēz International, the world's largest confectionery corporation, headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. Within the company, Corina Oprea holds "Counsel" and "Senior Counsel" positions, dealing with global contract negotiations, entity restructurings, investment proposals, North American venture capital, as well as aspects related to the competitive market, intellectual property, labor, and data privacy. In this role, she serves as the primary point of contact for the management team, providing strategic advice and monitoring legal risks in the context of international business. Outside of her corporate work, Corina Oprea is actively involved in the Chicago legal community, demonstrating a strong dedication to access to justice. She is a member and chair of the CBA Young Lawyers Section (Chicago Bar Foundation's Young Lawyers Division), an institution that promotes access to justice for vulnerable individuals and supports the professional development of young lawyers. Through her pro bono and leadership roles in these structures, Corina solidifies her reputation as a professional who combines the rigor of international legal practice with a clear commitment to equality before the law and supporting underserved communities.
