Olga Vasilyeva-Nazarova was born on August 23, 1967, in Chisinau, Moldavian Soviet Socialist Republic. In 1988, she graduated from the State Institute of Theatre and Cinematography (GITIS), having completed the acting and directing course under the guidance of Professor Leonid Heifetz. Her career in theatre and cinema began in the same year with a cameo role in the film "Bryzgi shampanskogo" (Champagne Sprays), followed by numerous appearances in films and television series produced in the Soviet Union and later in post-Soviet Russia. From 1988 until January 2023, the actress worked at the Moscow Theatre dedicated to Anton Chekhov, where she performed over one hundred and fifty roles on stage. In cinema, she had notable participations in films such as "Повесть непогашенной луны" (The Tale of the Unextinguished Moon, 1990), "Барханов и его телохранитель" (Barkhanov and His Bodyguard, 1996), and the successful series "Кухня" (The Kitchen) and "Вызов" (The Challenge). She was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation and predominantly played supporting or partner roles, supporting and complementing the performances of the actors she collaborated with. Olga Vasilyeva-Nazarova married actor and director Dmitry Nazarov, with whom she has collaborated on numerous projects on stage and in film. She has a son from her first marriage, and she and her current husband have a daughter together. The couple was fired from the Moscow Art Theatre in January 2023, after which they left the Russian Federation for security reasons. Since then, the actress and her husband have continued their artistic activities abroad, creating socially critical content and theatrical presentations in various European countries.
