About
Svetlana Kravtsova is a prestigious ballerina and pedagogue, a graduate of the Ballet Academy of the Republic of Moldova, where she completed a full eight-year program in classical disciplines such as classical ballet, pointe, and character dance. After graduating, she danced as a principal soloist at the National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre of Ch In 1997, Kravtsova and her family moved to the United States, where she continued her career as a professional ballet teacher. She was invited to teach intensive summer courses in several American cities, including Indianapolis and the Baltimore/Washington DC region, and prior to opening her own studio, she taught at various prestigious schools in these areas. Kravtsova is certified by the American Ballet Theatre, having completed the ABT training programs for levels Primary through Level 3 of the ABT National Training Curriculum, and she taught at one of the most prestigious ballet institutions in the world, the Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington DC, where she also served as Assistant Artistic Director. As a dedicated educator with over 40 years of professional ballet experience, Kravtsova opened her own studio where she teaches students of all levels, contributing to the development of a new generation of dancers. She is also a judge for the Arts Grand Prix World Ballet Competition in Canada, as well as the founder of the Washington DC Grand Prix, demonstrating her recognition in the international ballet community and her ongoing commitment to promoting the art of ballet in North America.
