Emilia Jereghi is a young actress and presenter from the Republic of Moldova, born in 2009, who discovered her passion for cinema at a very young age, within the family of the renowned director Valeriu Jereghi. Her notable debut took place in the short film "Milika" (2014), a Franco-Polish-Moldovan co-production, where she played the main role of a little girl abandoned by her parents, living with her grandmother. Her performance impressed with its naturalness and emotional depth, contributing to the script through personal experiences discussed with her director father. She later played leading roles in "Pandemia.md" (2022) and supporting roles in "Memoria" (2019), demonstrating a rare acting potential. Besides acting, Emilia has distinguished herself as the presenter of the children's shows "Povestea de seară" (Evening Story) and "Magazinul copiilor" (Children's Store) from Chisinau, where her natural charisma captivated the young audience. A student at "Mircea Eliade" High School, she combines her studies with artistic activity, participating in family projects and international co-productions initiated by her father through the PRIM-PLAN STUDIO. Her collaborations highlight the Moldovan cinematic tradition, marked by profound social themes, and her presence at European festivals has brought visibility to the new generation of artists in the field. Emilia's personal life is closely linked to the universe of her artist family: the daughter of director Valeriu Jereghi and sister of Cristian Jereghi, she describes joyful moments and daily adventures in weekly journals published by Radio Free Europe, such as escapades with pets or family movie nights. Raised surrounded by film sets and authentic acting, with non-actors like her grandmother in "Milika," Emilia combines playfulness with artistic depth, reflecting the human values promoted in her parents' creations within a constantly transforming Moldovan society.
