Zinaida Grîu is a young woman noted in the public sphere for her elegance and perseverance, becoming particularly known after winning the title of "Miss Basarabia 2017" in Cluj-Napoca. The event, organized by the Bessarabian Initiative Group, celebrated the beauty and aspirations of young Bessarabian women pursuing their studies abroad, under the theme "Women Who Inspire." Originally from the village of Cuhnești, Zinaida was embraced by the student community in Cluj, the city where she chose to pursue her education. During her participation in the beauty pageant, she described herself as a responsible, bold, and friendly person, passionate about physics, literature, and football. A defining element of her character, mentioned by herself in that context, is her admiration for inner strength, illustrated by Nelson Mandela's quote: "It is not about how many times you fall, but how many times you get up." The title obtained in 2017 was dedicated to her mother, whom Zinaida considers the main pillar of support in everything she does. Beyond aesthetic recognition, her victory was viewed by the organizers not only as a validation of external beauty, but also of a deep inner beauty and the ability to successfully manifest herself in a competitive academic and cultural environment, such as the one in Cluj. Thus, Zinaida Grîu remains a name associated with the enthusiasm of the young generation that manages to maintain its connection with its Bessarabian origins, while at the same time demonstrating the desire to excel in the academic and social environment in which it operates.
