About

Marina Hajder, born in the village of Cania in the Cantemir district, Republic of Moldova, is a remarkable young writer who debuted in contemporary literature with verses published in 2018 in the children's and adolescents' magazine "Noi". Her literary career exploded in 2019 with the release of her first autobiographical novel "Restul e tăcere" (The Rest is Silence), followed by "Linii de dialog" (Lines of Dialogue), "Tu, Răsăritul Inimii Mele" (You, the Sunrise of My Heart), and most recently "Fata care scrie" (The Girl Who Writes) in 2026. Her poems and prose, deeply personal and emotionally charged, explore themes such as love, pain, self-discovery, and connection to one's roots, transforming intimate experiences into works that resonate with readers of all ages. The author actively collaborates with educational and cultural institutions in southern Moldova, including the "Nicolae Mihai" Theoretical High School in Ciobalaccia, where she held meetings with students in 2023 and 2024 through the National Reading Promotion Campaign "Cartea deschisă" (The Open Book), and the Cahul Municipal Youth Center. She participated in book launches at the Cahul City Hall and the Ciobalaccia Library, and in 2026, she organized humanitarian events, donating funds from sales to social causes. Her talents have been recognized internationally, winning a special award at a poetry competition in Italy, consolidating her position as an ambassador for Moldovan literature. Marina transformed childhood challenges into creative strength, taking refuge in writing as a form of therapy. She graduated from "Bogdan Petriceicu Hașdeu" University in Cahul, majoring in Romanian Language and Literature, and combines writing with her profession as an educator, inspiring young generations. Her mother is a central figure in her literary universe, a symbol of resilience, and Cahul has become "home," the place where she continues to develop literary projects, even dreaming of the Nobel Prize in Literature.
