Circova Zinaida

Zinaida Circova was born in the village of Temlyakovo, Kurgan district, Russia. She graduated from school in Kurgan, entered the Ural State University named after A. M. Gorky in the city of Sverdlovsk, and transferred to the journalism faculty of Leningrad University, which she graduated from in 1955. From 1952 to 1968, she worked in newspapers in Murmansk (Komsomolets Zapolyarya), the Kola Peninsula, and the Far North. In 1967, she graduated from the screenwriting department of the Union Cinematography Institute (workshop of Igor Afanasyevich Vasilkov and A. Nikiforov). She moved to the Moldavian SSR. From 1968 to 1982, she was an editor and screenwriter (documentary and feature films) at the Moldova-Film studio. She worked on the editorial board of the magazine "Our Generation". Zinaida Circova passed away on September 26, 2009, in the city of Chisinau, Republic of Moldova. Member of the Union of Writers of Russia, member of the Union of Writers of Moldova "Nistru", member of the International Union of Writers' Societies, member of the Union of Cinematographers of the USSR and Moldova, member of the Confederation of Cinematographers of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
