Mărioara-Dumitrița Cheptene is a remarkable ballroom dancer from the Republic of Moldova, who began her professional career at the age of 7, dedicating 23 years to dancing. Together with her French partner Steeve Gaudet, with whom she formed an exceptional couple starting in 2011 and representing France after her transfer in 2013, she won multiple world titles, including the World Show Dance Standard Championship in 2018 in Riga, the World Ten Dance Championship in 2015 in Böblingen, and other distinctions in PD Show Dance, PD Standard, and PD Ten Dance. Her performances include top placements at the Super Grand Prix, European Cup, and World Open in locations such as Paris, Vienna, Stuttgart, and Chișinău, establishing her as one of the most decorated athletes in professional ballroom dancing. Today, operating mainly in France, Mărioara Cheptene is recognized as a coach, choreographer, mentor, and official WDSF (World DanceSport Federation) and FFD judge, with active licenses in disciplines such as Standard, Latin, Ten Dance, and Pro Dance.
