About

Olga Bolgari, a lyric coloratura soprano, was born in 1975 in Chișinău, Republic of Moldova, where she received her initial music education in vocal studies, piano, and choral conducting. In 1996, she moved to Vienna, graduating in opera and operetta studies at the Conservatory of Vienna, musicology at the University of Vienna, and vocal pedagogy at the University of Music in Vienna. Her solo career began in 1997, with international recitals in the USA, Argentina, Mexico, France, Portugal, Cyprus, Egypt, Latvia, and Germany, performing iconic roles such as the Queen of the Night in Mozart's "The Magic Flute," Rosina in Rossini's "The Barber of Seville," or participating in the premiere of P. Butans' Mass at the Riga Cathedral. As a versatile artist, Olga Bolgari has collaborated with orchestras such as the Philadelphia Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra, Orquestra Bahia Blanca, and Orquestra del Estado de Mexico, performing works by Mahler, Strauss, Brahms, Britten, and Haydn, including Mozart's "Requiem" and "The Year" in Paris, or Strauss's "Four Last Songs" at the Cairo State Opera. Between 2009 and 2011, she was a member of the Baden Theatre Choir, and since 2012 she has been teaching classical and musical theatre singing at the Conservatory of Vienna and music schools in Upper Austria, such as the Landesmusikschulen in Wilhering, Leonding, Enns, and St. Florian. She has developed an innovative method of holistic vocal training, "Three-Dimensional Voice Development," combining Italian bel canto with modern breathing and body techniques, conducting workshops in Austria, Italy, Germany, and Russia, in partnership with the GLE OÖ Institute. Since 2021, she has been conducting the children's and youth choir of the Landestheater Linz, as well as choirs such as the Jugendchor LMS Leonding and Minichor at the Musiktheater Linz, promoting creative programs that combine classical music with jazz and hip-hop, in collaboration with artists such as saxophonist Ruslan Pashinsky. Active in contemporary projects, she has released CDs such as "CHOIS 2" and organizes summer choral camps in Bad Goisern, inspiring younger generations through her passion for voice and artistic expression.
