Larisa Yakut is an education professional, originally from the Republic of Moldova, who built her career in the United States of America, with a special interest in the development and learning of young children. She graduated with a degree in Russian Language and Literature, and then pursued master's studies in Turkish at Sofia University in Bulgaria. After settling in the USA in 1995, she focused her work on education, accumulating over 15 years of experience in different environments and states, including as a teaching assistant and as a kindergarten teacher. At Penn State University, she worked as a teacher at Child Care at Penn State, contributing to the creation of a warm and safe educational environment for children. In her pedagogical work, Larisa Yakut worked at the University of Michigan Day Care, the Oregon Community College Family Center, and the Infant Development Program in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania. Also, before moving to Pennsylvania, she taught Russian to K–1 students in Odessa, Texas, demonstrating her professional versatility and adaptability.
