About
A Moldovan woman broke the world record for planking for a noble cause The Republic of Moldova continues to make a global mark through the ambition and resilience of its citizens. Recently, Tatiana Verega, a young woman originally from Moldova living in the United States, demonstrated extraordinary physical and mental strength, managing to set a new world record in the "plank" exercise. She held the static position for 3 hours and 45 minutes, pushing the limits of human endurance. Living in Florida since 2012, Tatiana is a well-known figure in the fitness and dance world, being a Zumba instructor and the owner of a successful studio. However, the motivation behind this colossal performance was not just personal glory. The event had a profound charitable purpose: raising funds for the "Galveston Chance to Dance" program. Through this project, talented young people who lack financial resources are given the chance to attend dance classes and see their dreams come true. The record did not come by chance. Tatiana is a versatile athlete, with participation in an Ironman triathlon and an appearance in the 2017 Super Bowl entertainment show in her track record. "Planking is a battle with your own mind," stated the athlete, emphasizing that beyond the abdominal muscles, concentration and discipline were the key to success. This extraordinary achievement serves as an example of determination for the entire diaspora and for young people in Moldova. Tatiana Verega has not only raised the sporting bar but has shown that, through effort and solidarity, sport can become a powerful tool for social change and the support of art.
