Valeria Stoica is an indie-pop artist from Nisporeni, Republic of Moldova, who has established her musical career in Romania. Although young, she has emerged as one of the most sensitive and authentic voices of the new generation of musicians in the region. Her sonic universe combines folk and indie-pop influences with acoustic elements, conveying themes such as fragility, longing, and self-discovery through her lyrics. Her love for nature, where she spent most of her childhood, is a constant source of inspiration for her creations. Valeria Stoica's discography has been marked by two notable albums. Her debut album "I Don't Like Roses" (2020), consisting of nine songs in Romanian and English, was nominated for the IMPALA Awards 2021 for Best Independent Album, confirming the artistic maturity of a voice at the beginning of its journey. The song "Empty Air" from this album was broadcast on Billboard Italy and in Japan and Germany, consolidating her international presence. Her second album, "Go Outside And Hug A Tree" (2025), demonstrates the artist's continuous evolution and her orientation towards new creative directions. The debut single "Remember" and other songs like "Distante" and "Poate" have brought her the attention of listeners worldwide. Valeria Stoica's international recognition culminated in her designation as Spotify EQUAL's ambassador for Romania in 2023, an honor that led to her appearance on a digital billboard in New York's Times Square. She has performed concerts both domestically and abroad, being praised for the naturalness of her stage presence and her ability to create intimate connections with the audience. In September 2025, the artist was chosen by Radio România Cultural to represent Romania at the Eurosonic Noorderslag Festival 2026, a reaffirmation of her importance in the contemporary music scene.
