About
Victoria Ștefaniuc is a Moldovan actress and puppeteer based in Paris, where she has built a remarkable career in the field of puppet theater and art therapy. The daughter of the late actor Victor Ștefaniuc, founder of the "Guguță" Municipal Puppet Theater, she inherited her passion and talent for acting from her father, who was also her mentor at the Institute of Arts in Chișinău. After graduating with a degree in Puppet Acting Art, Victoria continued her training in France, where she became a French state scholarship holder and studied Performing Arts at Paris III Sorbonne University under the guidance of theater professor Georges Banu. Her career in France has included collaborations with prestigious institutions such as the Théâtre du Petit Miroir, where she perfected the art of shadow puppetry and bi-ba-bo puppets. For approximately 13 years, Victoria Ștefaniuc has established her own theater association in Paris, through which she has developed performances based on Moldovan folk tales, among which the most appreciated are "Fata babei și fata moșneagului" and "Punguța cu doi bani". Through these productions, she has represented Moldovan culture and folklore in several European, African, and Asian countries, participating in international festivals in China, Morocco, Tunisia, Benin, and other locations. The scripts of the performances are translated into French in collaboration with French colleagues, while the songs are sung in Romanian, preserving the cultural authenticity of her creations [brd.gov.md](https://brd.gov.md/victoria-stefaniuc-magistra-in-terapie-prin-teatru-membra-a-diasporei-in-vizita-la-biroul-relatii-cu-diaspora/2022/). In addition to her work in puppet theater, Victoria Ștefaniuc holds a master's degree in drama therapy, a field in which she believes the Republic of Moldova has unexplored potential. She is the mother of two children and lives in the suburbs of Paris with her family. Through her commitment to bringing expertise in the field of art therapy and by continuing to promote Moldovan culture on the international stage, Victoria Ștefaniuc has established herself as a remarkable personality of the Moldovan diaspora, dedicated to preserving and valuing the artistic heritage of her country of origin.
