About
Tatiana Scetinina is a researcher and data scientist with a remarkable career in the biopharmaceutical industry. A graduate of the Technical University of Moldova with a Master's degree in Computer Science, she has developed in-depth expertise in statistical programming and clinical analysis over more than two decades. Since 2000, Tatiana has worked with AstraZeneca, one of the world's leading pharmaceutical companies, where she has supported the development of medicines in several therapeutic areas, with a particular contribution to the respiratory pipeline from a clinical programming perspective. Her career has been distinguished by coordinating global Marketing Authorization applications, managing regulatory responses, and preparing advisory board meetings, including interactions with regulatory authorities such as the FDA, EMA, and PMDA. In 2016, Tatiana was recognized with the internal AstraZeneca Global Medicines Development Award in the Inspirational Leadership category for her ability to inspire and motivate teams. This recognition solidified her position as a leader with outstanding management and communication skills. Seeking a transformative path, in 2018 Tatiana joined the Data Science & AI group within AstraZeneca's Biopharmaceutical Research and Development department, where she currently serves as Director of Data Science. In this role, she acts as a bridge between business units and artificial intelligence researchers, contributing to the application of AI technologies in the development of new medicines and transforming how science approaches the discovery of therapeutic solutions. Tatiana has furthered her expertise through Data Science specialization certificates from the University of Chicago and Coursera, as well as the MIT Sloan certification in Artificial Intelligence in Pharma and Biotech from 2025.
