Irina Rimes, born Irina Rîmeș on August 22, 1991, in Izvoare, Florești district, Republic of Moldova, is one of the most recognized singers and songwriters in Romania and Moldova. Her career took off in 2012 when she participated in the talent show "Fabrica de staruri" (Star Factory) in the Republic of Moldova, reaching the final and gaining widespread public attention. After a period of trying her luck in the music industry under the pseudonym Irra, Irina moved to Romania in 2013 and signed with the record label Quantum Music, a moment that marked the beginning of a remarkable rise in her career. Irina Rimes' definitive rise occurred in 2016 with the release of the song "Visele" (Dreams), which ranked #1 on all Romanian radio charts and stayed there for three consecutive months. This success earned her recognition from Cosmopolitan magazine as "revelation of the year 2016" and the award for best debut at the Radio România Music Awards. Other hits were added to the song, such as "Ce s-a întâmplat cu noi" (What Happened to Us), "Bolnavi amândoi" (Both Sick), "Nu știi tu să fii bărbat" (You Don't Know How to Be a Man), and "POEM," which propelled Irina to mainstream artist status.
