Olga Bodrug Johnson, originally from the village of Todirești, Republic of Moldova, is a remarkable specialist in international relations, national security, and diplomacy, with a strong focus on space policy and governance. A graduate of the Master of International Affairs program at the Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University, funded by a U.S. Department of State Fulbright scholarship, she became the first Moldovan woman admitted to this prestigious institution associated with the name of George Bush. Her career includes the position of Financial Analyst at Boeing Defense, Space & Security, where she provides support in EVM compliance, linear cost maintenance, and shadowing for programs such as SLS and government contracts, demonstrating expertise in finance, space governance, and security. Olga's collaborations are impressive, including key roles at Texas A&M, where she founded and managed an institute for space exploration and governance, organized webinars with experts from NASA, Space Force, and Blue Origin, and moderated roundtables on space competition. She worked as a research assistant at the Space Governance Research Center, contributed to grant proposals, and published articles with global reach, while being affiliated with the Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations (HPAIR), where she received awards for humanitarian solutions. Previous experiences include internships at the Romanian Parliament, Citibank, and BCR, as well as coordinating a global team in the X-Culture competition, which opened doors for her to American education. Coming from a modest family, Olga is the first to obtain a master's degree in her family, achieving exceptional performance despite challenges, such as defending her Romanian master's thesis from Bucharest online from Texas, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, late at night due to the time difference. Adaptable and ambitious, she studied in Romania, Croatia, and the USA, constantly promoting Moldovan-Romanian-American ties through legislative projects and academic initiatives. Recognized with the Medal of Excellence, Dean’s Leadership Certificate, and Boeing Recognition Award, Olga inspires with her determination to turn seemingly impossible dreams into realities, contributing to the international field with a unique perspective from Moldova.
