Gabriela Herța is a Moldovan judoka born on December 5, 2008, who has established herself as one of the most promising talents in the Republic of Moldova in this sport. At just 17 years old, she has already demonstrated remarkable consistency in international competitions, accumulating several medals at European and world levels. Her career has seen a rapid ascent, consolidating Moldova's position on the European judo scene. Her achievements include the gold medal at the Balkan Cadet Championship in Krusevo in 2023, in the 48 kg category, which represented a turning point in the young athlete's career. Subsequently, Gabriela won the silver medal at the European Cadet Cup in Riga in 2024, a bronze medal at the European Cadet Cup in Berlin in 2025, and another bronze medal at the European Youth Olympic Festival in Skopje in 2025. She also participated in the Cadet World Championships in Sofia and Lima, where she achieved competitive results, consolidating the international experience essential for her development.
