Ana Formusatii is a remarkable specialist in energy policy, with over a decade of experience in British public administration. A graduate of the State University of Moldova with a Master's degree in Economics obtained with the highest grade of 9.92/10, she began her professional journey in her home country, working as a Communications Executive at the Democratic Party of Moldova between 2012 and 2014, as well as an intern at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration. Since arriving in the UK, she has rapidly climbed the governmental ranks, holding key positions such as Project Officer at Defra, Caseworker at the UK Home Office, and currently, Senior Policy Advisor at the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, where she leads the CfD strategy within the Review of Electricity Market Arrangements (REMA) and policies on flexibility markets. Her major collaborations focus on top British governmental institutions, including the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) – where she worked for over seven years in a legal capacity – and the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ), with roles in energy consulting and strategy.
