About
Maria Bujor, born in the village of Corlăteni, Râșcani district of the Republic of Moldova, was attending courses at the Romanian-American University, Faculty of International Financial and Banking Relations, in Bucharest. Last year, she won the Miss Elegance 2008 award at the final of the "Miss Leisure 2008" contest organized in the Chinese city of Suzhou. At that contest, Maria Bujor performed a song in Chinese, and after being declared the winner, she said that the result shows that there are talented and beautiful girls in the Republic of Moldova as well. She had won the national finals of the Miss Festival Valea Prahovei contest organized at the Sinaia Casino by Camelia and Marius Seceleanu. The first edition of Miss Leisure was hosted by the country that, despite being "busy" with organizing the Olympic Games, had launched a new challenge to the whole world. Through beauty and elegance. The organizers of Miss Tourism Queen International 2008 considered that Suzhou, nicknamed "Venice of the East", "Capital of Silk", "Land of Abundance", and "World of Gardens", is also a city that deserves to be promoted. By bringing together over 75 beauties from all over the world! Because one of the strategies that brought worldwide success and media attention was the organization of world finals for beauty pageants and top model contests. On average, there were 15-20 such events each year, with the participation record being 113 finalists at Miss Tourism Queen International 2007. Representatives from Romania and the Republic of Moldova, winners of national finals organized by Platinum Agency, were present at most of the contests. Our Romanian women performed admirably and returned home with awards, as well as the contest trophies.
