Simona Barca, originally from the Republic of Moldova, has distinguished herself in the field of journalism through her higher education in Broadcast Journalism at American University in Washington D.C., graduating in 2021, and by continuing her education in Law at South Texas College of Law Houston, where she is a Juris Doctor (J.D.) candidate starting in 2025. Her professional career in the United States began with internships at prestigious organizations such as C-SPAN, the National Journalism Center, the Media Research Center, and Study Breaks Magazine, where she published various articles on cultural, social, and lifestyle topics. Subsequently, she advanced rapidly in broadcast media, working as a reporter and producer at KBMT/K-JAC 12News in Beaumont, Texas, then as an Evening Anchor and MMJ Reporter at KRHD News in Bryan/College Station, covering local news, including for the Texas A&M University community until 2025, and currently works as a Community Engagement Specialist for the City of Fulshear. Her collaborations include major US media outlets, such as local TV stations in Texas and Virginia, where she developed skills in video production with Adobe Premiere and Audition, audio-video reporting, and social media marketing. Her experience spans diverse roles, from public policy internships at the Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission to leadership positions in operational journalism, demonstrating remarkable versatility in the dynamic context of the American press. As an honors graduate of North Gwinnett High School and an active participant in clubs such as the Beta Club and Mock Trial, Simona laid the foundation for a solid career, adapting quickly to the high standards of the US media industry.
