Aliona Barbei, born on August 9, 1993, in Bender, Transnistria, Republic of Moldova, is an outstanding visual artist and model, active especially in Chișinău. Her career perfectly blends modeling, where she gracefully walks the runways in elegant outfits, with painting, a field where she explores the theme of femininity through expressive portraits made in oil on canvas, charcoal, acrylic, or pastel. Passionate about art since childhood, when she transformed her family's apartment into a true museum with her drawings, Aliona has organized impactful solo exhibitions, such as the one in 2020 dedicated to the female face for charity, raising 4,000 euros for a girl with disabilities, or 'Mirror of Venus' in 2021 and 'I Feel YOU' in 2022, where she presented dozens of works reflecting deep emotions and human vulnerability. Her professional background is impressive: she graduated from the 'Alexandru cel Bun' Theoretical High School in Bender in 2012, then obtained her bachelor's degree in 2016 from the University of European Studies in Chișinău, and studied between 2017 and 2018 at the Academy of Fine Arts, Music and Theatre in Chișinău. She perfected her technique through private courses with masters such as Roman Pankov and Ivan Loginov from St. Petersburg, online masterclasses, and international workshops with Casey Baugh in Paris, Brooklyn, and Rome. Her works, exhibited on platforms like Saatchi Art and featured in local publications such as RED by Rodica Ciorănică, address feminine aesthetic and philosophical concepts, with red as a symbol of passion and intense emotions, and in 2024 she participated in collective exhibitions such as 'Art on the Streets' at ArtCor Chișinău. Alina's personal life is marked by her love for art as a form of escape and meditation, complemented by modeling as a way of socializing and celebrating ephemeral beauty. Believing in the power of art to bring happiness and good to the world, she organizes annual charity events and highlights the motto 'Dacă dragoste nu e, nimic nu e' (If there is no love, there is nothing). Living in Chișinău, Aliona continues to inspire through her creations, transforming modeling and painting into a single whole that defines her personal development and contribution to the Moldovan art scene.
