About

Silvia Răileanu is an entrepreneur and co-founder of the Hortihaus Group, known on the market through the Serele SupeR brand, a family business developed in Biled, Timiș County. Together with her husband Damian Răileanu, the initiator of the Amniocen company (which developed the Decasept product), Silvia entered the agricultural sector in 2014, building one of the most modern greenhouses in Romania with an initial area of 1.7 hectares dedicated to growing premium cherry tomatoes. The initial investment, of approximately 1.85 million euros, of which 500,000 euros were acquired through non-reimbursable funding from the European Union, was made through an investment loan from CEC Bank. SupeR Greenhouses quickly stood out in the Romanian market through their strategy of producing superior quality tomatoes, cultivated on an area that reached 16,000 square meters with advanced hydroponic systems and climate control. Annual production exceeded 500 tons of specialties, achieving harvests for eight consecutive months, from March to December. The entrepreneur collaborated with the main retail chains in the country—Lidl, Auchan, Carrefour, Mega Image, and Profi—building stable commercial relationships based on the constant supply of fresh and tasty products. In 2020, turnover reached 1.4 million euros, and the investment in expansion focused on building an additional 30,000 square meters of greenhouses with semi-closed technology and 7,000 square meters of technical spaces with warehouses and logistics areas, a total investment of 31 million lei financed predominantly by loans. In the medium and long term, Silvia Răileanu plans to expand operations by increasing the cultivated area to 12 hectares in four successive stages and investing in her own biodegradable punnet production line, a project valued at 1 million euros. The agricultural business initially generated 26 jobs, with prospects of growth to 40 employees, consolidating the Hortihaus Group's position as a serious and professional producer in the field of protected crops. The entrepreneur's vision focused on occupying a premium market niche, producing exclusively superior-tasting tomatoes, adapted to the demands of modern consumers and European quality standards, differentiating itself from the competition from Turkey and Spain by offering a high-quality local product.
