Mariana Parea is a film editor with a remarkable career spanning over three and a half decades in the Romanian film and television industry. Trained at the Film Faculty of the "I.L. Caragiale" National University of Theatre and Film in Bucharest, where she studied video editing and cinematography, she has developed profound expertise in film editing. Domnița Parea has worked as a promotions editor and producer at two of the most important Romanian television stations, Antena 1 and PRO TV, solidifying her reputation in the media industry. Throughout her career, Mariana Parea has passionately dedicated herself to editing an impressive variety of projects. She has edited over 800 music videos for renowned directors Iulian Moga, Dragos Buliga, Andreea Pădurar, and Florin Botea. Notable projects include the television series "Las Fierbințele" with 150 episodes and "O Săptămână Nebună" with 24 episodes, both produced by PRO TV and Frame Film. She also contributed to the short film "Zwischen Mauern'15" directed by Ana Felicia Scutelnikcu and the documentary film "Doina Groparilor '56 (Digging for Life)" under the auspices of HBO Romania. Mariana Parea has continued her work as an independent film editor and freelancer from 2002 to the present, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in the face of various artistic and technical challenges. A specialist in cinematic design and editing, she is fluent in Romanian and Russian, and her elementary knowledge of English and French has enabled international collaborations.
