Elena Gherța is a professional with over 13 years of experience in administration and international relations. After graduating from the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Moldova, where she specialized in constitutional and administrative law, she held positions as a consultant and head of department within the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Moldova, coordinating international cooperation and project management. She also received training through leadership programs for women in law enforcement and in security and defense policies, studies conducted at prestigious institutions in Hungary and Belgium. Since September 2018, Elena Gherța has been working as a project manager at the Criminal Intelligence Service of Austria, a position she holds to this day. Within this institution, she has coordinated several important assistance and development initiatives, including projects dedicated to combating human trafficking in countries such as Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as anti-money laundering projects. Her international and multidisciplinary experience positions her as an important figure in cooperation between European law enforcement institutions. Elena Gherța is fluent in Romanian, Russian, English, and German, with knowledge of French, Bulgarian, Macedonian, and Italian, which has allowed her efficient integration into the multicultural Austrian and European environment. Dedicated to continuous professional development, she has participated in advanced courses on cybersecurity and human rights, demonstrating a commitment to modernizing work methods and adhering to international standards for citizen protection.
