Xenia Cravetchi is a synchronized swimming coach and medical professional from Canada, with a distinguished career in high-performance sports. Originally from the Republic of Moldova, she developed her passion for synchronized swimming during her studies at McGill Athletics, where she was part of the McGill University synchronized swimming team from 2010 to 2013. After graduating with a bachelor's degree in biochemistry with a minor in Politics, Law, and Society, Cravetchi continued her academic and professional training in Alberta. In the field of sports, Cravetchi has established herself as a certified synchronized swimming coach with NCCP Competition Development training. From September 2013 to the present, she has been working at Excel Synchro in Edmonton, Alberta, where she has coached competitive athletes aged 8 to 80, and has also been involved in international competitions. An important period in her career was her role as interim head coach at Orca Synchro between 2018 and 2019, when she supervised the club's program for over 50 athletes and coordinated the professional development of a team of seven coaches. In parallel with her commitment to sports, Cravetchi pursued a rigorous academic path in biomedical sciences. She obtained a Master of Science degree with a specialization in Pharmacology from the University of Alberta between 2013 and 2016, with her research focusing on the regulation of trafficking and oligomeric composition of the human equilibrative nucleoside transporter, presenting at international scientific conferences. Subsequently, she graduated from the same university's medical school, earning her Doctor of Medicine degree in 2023, thus demonstrating her ability to successfully combine a career as an elite sports coach with advanced academic training in the medical field.
