About
Ludmila Cojocaru is a researcher originally from the Republic of Moldova, specializing in sciences, with an academic career largely developed in Japan. She holds a doctorate and serves as a project associate professor at the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences of the University of Tokyo, where she is also affiliated with the Komaba Institute for Science. Her education includes studies at the State University of Moldova, where she pursued chemistry, as well as a doctorate obtained at the University of Bordeaux, in the field of physical chemistry of condensed materials. In her scientific work, Ludmila Cojocaru has distinguished herself through research in the field of dye-sensitized solar cells, perovskite solar cells, and energy conversion and storage systems. According to academic presentations, she was one of the early researchers in the study of perovskite solar cells, focusing on interface engineering and explaining the IV hysteresis phenomenon, and later worked at the University of Freiburg, in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy. In Japan, she has been involved in projects conducted at the University of Tokyo and within Japanese research programs, and has been invited to give lectures on sustainable solar energy and rechargeable devices. In addition to her research activities, Ludmila Cojocaru has collaborated with several academic institutions in the Republic of Moldova, France, Germany, and Japan, including the State University of Moldova, the University of Bordeaux, and the University of Tokyo. Public mentions also highlight her contributions to scientific activity and the training of highly qualified personnel, as well as awards received for promoting scientific results at national and international levels. Detailed public information about her personal life or family is limited, but it is known that she was born in the Republic of Moldova and built her professional career between Chisinau, France, Germany, and Japan.
