Ana Chirița is one of the key figures in the transformation of the technological ecosystem of the Republic of Moldova, with a career dedicated to the development of the ICT sector and digital education. Starting in December 2009, when she worked as an Information and Communications Technology Advisor at Chemonics International, she built solid experience in managing large-scale strategic projects. Between 2009 and 2019, she held the position of Executive Director of the Association of ICT Companies (ATIC), a period during which she developed and coordinated programs with annual budgets exceeding 2 million dollars, involving teams of approximately 25 specialists and actively contributing to the improvement of the fiscal and legal framework for the technology sector. Ana Chirița's commitment to innovation and digital education was particularly evident in her role coordinating the Tekwill project starting in 2015. This major initiative transformed how young Moldovans access IT and entrepreneurship skills. Under her influence, Tekwill evolved into an educational platform and entrepreneurial hub spanning over 3400 square meters, providing access to sophisticated equipment and training programs in fields such as robotics, programming, and digital design. The project was integrated into 77 schools across the Republic of Moldova, marking a national first in terms of student access to quality digital education. Since May 2019, Ana Chirița has continued to play a crucial role in Moldova's ICT sector as the Director of Strategic Projects at ATIC. There, she focuses on partnerships with universities and corporations for technological talent development, digital transformation initiatives, and creating programs aimed at reintegrating and retaining young professionals in the country. Her contributions to the development of the Moldovan IT ecosystem include strategies to combat the shortage of specialists, promote inclusive digital education, and facilitate connections between the academic and private sectors.
