Natalia Bencheci is an architect, born in 1988, settled in Switzerland and based in Zurich, where she works as a project manager for Leutwyler Partner Architecture AG. She has been a member of the Order of Portuguese Architects since 2014 and studied at the Academy of Architecture of Mendrisio in Switzerland, where she worked with renowned architects Valerio Olgiati and Aires Mateus, as well as at the Lusíada University of Lisbon. Throughout her career, Natalia has worked on numerous large-scale architectural projects, including the ZHAW Food and Beverage Research Laboratory in Wädenswil, Switzerland, and has received international recognition, including the Gold Winner award at the Best Architects 19 Award for the Hagmannareal project in Winterthur. Natalia's professional activity extends over several complementary fields and reflects a holistic approach to design and development. Alongside her architectural practice, she developed the SPIX DESIGN project, through which she carries out renovations and interior design for apartments in Portugal, Switzerland, and the Republic of Moldova, combining modern aesthetics with functionality. In 2019, Natalia founded SMALTLIGHT, an art project dedicated to promoting talented artists from South America and Europe on the Swiss art market, serving as the exclusive representative for artists such as Ricardo Celma and Luis Altieri. Her exceptional linguistic skills — she speaks eight languages: Romanian, Portuguese, English, Italian, Spanish, German, Russian, and French — have allowed her to develop a global perspective and collaborate with professionals from diverse cultural backgrounds. On a personal level, Natalia maintains a strong connection to her Moldovan roots and her family settled in Lisbon, whom she visits frequently. She invests in real estate in Portugal and the Republic of Moldova, demonstrating an interest in the development of the communities she is part of. Recently, Natalia also engaged in a social project dedicated to Romanian-speaking women, organizing circles and travel experiences focused on personal development and self-discovery. Her dedication to aesthetics, art, and education continues to guide all her professional and personal initiatives, and her long-term goal includes contributing to the development of high-impact architectural projects in the Republic of Moldova.
